GoFastRobots
was founded in 2001 by Glenn M. Friedman D.Eng. to provide
affordable automation solutions to manufacturers who are faced with
increasing manufacturing costs. In 1984, Dr. Friedman developed his
first robotic work cell for the Machine Tool industry. That same
year he received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering (specializing
in robotics, control systems and manufacturing processes). Following
that, Dr. Friedman went to work in the aerospace industry developing
the automation work cells used to build Boeing's 7X7 line
of jet airplanes. Subsequently, he has developed state of the
art automation systems for the Food & Drug, Footwear &
Apparel, Semiconductor, Automotive, Defense, and Medical industries. After receiving his Doctorate
in Engineering in 1994, he was awarded patents on tactile sensing,
flexible gripping and image recognition, and more recently has been
awarded patents on the specialized handling of semiconductor
materials inside a Class 1 lithography tool residing in a Clean Room
environment. Dr. Friedman passionately believes in total design
optimization, quick turnaround from concept to implementation, and a
fully developed system layout using modern CAD design tools and the
latest in vision and drive components as a way of supporting all
technical specifications and functional requirements.
